For the record, I believe in God. So I agree with the post you authored. I would never argue against faith, and I am the only one on this board with a solid record of successfully humiliating those types of posters who come in from time to time dispraging Christians with shallow, cool-kid tropes. I very recently bloodied Pastafarian for that very behavior so badly that he hasn't been seen on the board since - or so my personal cause-and-effect opinion holds his disappearance to be explained.

I nominated that post. I had two motives:

1. I thought the post succinctly said something profoundly true. 
2. SJC has nominated several of mine, and has made many great posts I SHOULD have nominated. 

Two things I would suggest to you:

1. "He sure told that deezer where to get off" was not one of my motivations for the nomination.
2. "He sure told that deezer where to get off" was not one of AL's reasons for the award. 

One more thing I would suggest: SJC's motivation in making the observation was not to refute you, but rather, to express his position. He's not one of those types who runs around cheap-shotting and sneering at religious people. Nor did my nominating him, or AL's awarding him, suggest that either of us considered you refuted, or that either of us had our knickers in a knot at your post.

I happen to agree with your post 100% - and with his. I would bet American dollars that AL agrees with your post, too. It's not an either/or. Your post was true. So was his. But his got nominated and awarded - and yours didn't. You're just gonna have to walk that off.
